hamsters have it easy. their living spaces are so small and well contained, and they have that wheel, that precious, precious wheel, to run to and run on in times of frustration when excess energy need be expelled. i wish i had a wheel like that. but bigger, of course. my father had a treadmill, which serves a similar purpose (but isn't as charming

hahaha. that's a brilliant picture! thank you. i used to have hamsters in my early teens. amazing their storage capacity!
