It's been a busy week.

There's been sewing.  Stilt walking.  Aerial tissu.  Photo shoots. Kid's shows.  Gala parties.  Kittens.  Body Painting.  Golf, even.

This is the cloak I made for Red Riding Hood. The inside is all gorgeous and patch-work with a million pockets and the outside is red and shiny and the hood has fur. It makes me so so happy. I might put it up on Etsy for sale, since as much as I love it, I don't have a whole lot of need for a gorgeous red cloak.  More pictures are here.

This is the body painted Big Bad Wolf to go along with Riding Hood.  We did a walk-around gig at the ISES gala, which is a whole bunch of event planners, caterers, and loads of folks who will be interested in hiring us in the future, we hope.  Yay!  Darrell is wearing jumping stilts under there.  Here's a video where you can see him bounce a bit in the pants.

Okay, this is NOT ME in the picture.. but I got to wear those crazy stilt costumes on Monday night at City Hall in SF for another big gala event.  The photos don't do it justice, we looked AMAZING.  It was really tiring.. 2.5 hours of stilting without much of a break and those wings got pretty heavy after a while.

And this is my sister's Wedding Rehearsal.  I am very, very blond.  I altered the dress and despite the color, it's not quite as hideous as it could be.  It was fun to watch my mom get a little teary-eyed as my dad pretended to walk my sister down the aisle (to "Here Comes the Bride", I didn't know anyone still used that old chestnut).  More wedding thoughts forthcoming at some point.

Kittens!!  We get to take one home on August 1.  Darrell is only just slightly allergic.  We don't get to pick which kitten (we get the one that's left after everyone else has chosen) and it's going to cost us $1500, but.  KITTEN.  Video on my facebook page.
Also there was (belated) Mother's Day golfing with Mom, aerial tissu practice with Miriam (I'm starting to feel like I'm getting it back a bit!), loads of kids' shows, Brian and Jules' engagement party, Kacy's dreaded Employee Review, and lots of Harry Potter movies.  Am I forgetting something?  It's been a damn busy week.  More excitement is on its way...
