it's almost 12am when it'll be october 31st and my life will change.

nothing to do with halloween, really. just some things going down tomorrow:

1. i start a new job at this pretty cool company called new relic. we make software to profile your web app. it's awesome software. i wish i'd had it at several of my previous jobs (nike, respond2).

Congratulations on everything!!

I'm also starting a month or two of not drinking. I've found that my job is motivating me to do significant personal and spiritual exploration, and I'm really motivated to continue that outside of work. I've felt my inclination to drink really lessening by the week, and so I think I'd just like to cut it out all together for awhile. I also know a ton of non-drinkers here, so that helps.

Excited to see what realizations your clarity affords you!

i've certainly not been wanting to drink less (slow, fuzzy mornings like today when i awoke at 6am still drunk from shenanigans that wound down around 2am aside...), but i think it'll be good for me.

Well, since you won't be drinking, we'll have to meet for food stuff, or, coffee. We can also talk about writing as I think I'm going to throw in for this year too. I have an idea I've been tinkering with and it's time to put it to paper...so, if you want to meet any evening and write, let me know. I'm definitely game!

yay novelizing! we can meetup for writing for sure--gotta stay away from bars for a week or so just to cement my desire in place and then i'll be able to hang wherever. definitely planning to write most evenings (though, many at my house just coz it's convenient and this sudden job thing makes my free time precious and travelling to do a basically antisocial activity isn't the best use of available time/energy..)

anyhow, get in touch and we'll make it happen!
