Maybe the mundane matters.  To someone, someday.  Spring singing several days ago by very small birds, small enough to be  hummingbirds but with slow wings.  I couldn't see them well, way high in my tallest trees.  Don't remember anything so small.  Daffodils up in many places, several inches.  Now ice and rain.  A light cover on the trees, ( Read more... )

Just remember -- the Texas Republican platform for the last election contained the plank "Any discussion of climate change is a direct attack on the oil and gas bidness."

That being said, last year was the warmest on record. I may not see this played out, but you may be young enough to find out what happens.

I don't want to see it played out. Did you see the photos of the family in Australia? Forced to flee tornadoes of fire. Cowering in water underneath a pier. The grandmother holding two small children and the slightly older ones huddled next to her and the world on fire behind them.

Here, they dredge the Mississippi River so the barges can make it through. The Mighty Mississippi is drying up.

No I don't want to see it played out.

I don't want to see it played out either, but I'd love to see those little birds you have there. We have brown and grey and cold here.
