Current Music: The Aircon

TechCrunch founder Mike Arrington, notorious workaholic and apparently one of the five most hated people on the internet, is taking some time off to contemplate his future as a tech blogger after a month under threat of death ended with someone spitting in his face at a conference. 413 was hilarious. I'm becoming increasingly convinced that current.starbuck is some kind of construct, though rabbit1080 is questioning the certainty with which we've been told there are only 12.

I've still got one or two scenes remaining of 414, which I should probably watch before reading any subsequent comments here.

413 was hilarious.

414 had me laughing aloud at several points for its wonderfully ironic dialogue, but I found 413 very bleak indeed. (But then, I see the title of your comment...)

current.starbuck is some kind of construct

That, or someone's fucking with her big time. Personally, I've been convinced she's a toaster for about a season and a half. Don't know how the math works though; I tend to think she's some as yet undisclosed variant.

I've not paid much attention to Dave Winer since the early days of Frontier - a somewhat odd little system back in the day. He'd probably find that annoying.

I count those two as 4x11 and 4x12 personally.

Yeah, Razor feels kinda stand-alone, doesn't it? And have you seen the ten "The Face of the Enemy" webisodes between 412 and 413?

I still wish Roslyn had died back in season 2.

Her survival, and the failure of the Pythian prophecies, are an important part of the saga. I spent most of Season 3 fearing some Born Again reveal about the Cylons' monotheism, and was pleased to hear Baltar's angry anti-sermon in 414. This show continues to confound expectations. I just hope we're not seeing a version of the pointless trail-off after the second Shadow War.

Only the first 3-4 so far [...] So far so good.

We just watched them. I have a bit of an issue with the "btw Gaeta is bi, and look: now he's a junkie, and plotting against everyone" thing-particularly when this is the first example of alternative sexuality in the series (isn't it?) But I guess they do kinda explain his new pathological hatred for the Cyclons.

very much a Shrub-era Republican Party sort of girl

Really? I didn't get that. I think she's an interesting character with complex motivations. Sure, at times she becomes pretty damned bloodthirsty, but I don't think she's so easily box-typed.

I'm really curious about whether they're going to incorporate the People Of Light from the classic series much beyond Starbuck's rescue

Well, Virtual Six always claimed to be an angel, and the Final Five appear as beings of light at one point during the Eye of Jupiter stuff. I'll be surprised if all that doesn't get some kind of resolution.
