It's been a so-so day today. Work went as usually. It was a short six-hour shift that was more or less uneventful, with brief sporadic periods of larger groups of customers. Still it was more or less peaceful

I know what you mean about the bad feelings in the car thing. When I find myself in that situation, I usually just say something like, "Guys, *Bob* didn't mean to *puke in your car*, and *Sally* was *just having a bad day so she overreacted*. Let's just let it go." Pause, then bring up a happier topic. (Insert real events between *'s).
Alternatively, there's the joke approach: *wails* "Can't we all just GET ALONG?!?" *people laugh, perhaps nervously* Bring up happier topic.
Or, "Okay, BOTH OF YOU GO TO HELL! ...Problem solved." Again, people laugh. "Now, on to *happier topics*...!"
I, too, will be late to Chelsea's party due to work. So you're not alone. Ooh. You don't wanna swing by Clareview "on your way" there & pick me up, do you? I'm not sure when I'll be done, but if I can call you and the timing works out? *Grins hopefully and bats eyes*
