one's on lilac st, above Dal.
the other is on rector st, by the IT campus.
it's pretty easy to get to the new campus from either one, so the viewings will probably help narrow it down.

QUESTION: What are you taking?

library and info technology at NSCC. it sounds dull and boring (and some parts are) but we're the loudest, craziest and last people you'd expect to work in libraries.

no no, it doesnt sound boring at all. the reason i asked was because i'm going to stfx now to get a b.a and then to dal to get a masters in library sciences and i dont know if its worth it. i was thinking of quitting and going into something like that, actually. it just seems like 8 years is a bit much to become a librarian! haha. how long does it take at nscc? i mean i know they're different things but the job description is basically the same and thats all i care about, really. since i was like 8 i've wanted to be a librarian, but i don't know if this is how i should be going about it...

my program is two years. what a library technician does vs. a librarian really depends on the type of library you work in too.
in university or other big libraries, you'd probably end up doing more technical stuff, like cataloguing books and shelving and not a lot of person-to-person stuff. but in public libraries, LTs generally get to do a little of everything.
