After the lackluster Andrew Bird show last night, I had drinks with friends Ethan and Zack and two other people whose names I forgot, or never even took. After a drink, Ethan went on about his manuscript and asked me to look over a few poems. My response is what follows, which I think is pretty nice. What do you think? great exchange/correspondence between word-smiths,very very nice,a pleasure to read both.i find his poem quite strong [must be the French influence;)]

You misunderstand. That entire thing was my reply to his work. That poem imbedded was written by Frank O'Hara. It's what I was citing.

Nothing of Ethan's is in my post.

And, yes. I do write.

k,then the whole thing makes alot more sense now..i loved what you were saying but didn't feel it as a response to the O'Hara poem.:/sorry
of course you write,i could have assumed that from your journal alone but i still didn't want to make assumptions.i'd love to read anything you'd share.

not having read your associate's poetry, but instantly hating him for going on about his manuscript, i would have to say that you are saying that his work is 'gay', and not in a good way, but in a 'there have been many fine gay works of art done by distinguished and talented gay artists, but yours is not to be included amongst them' way. if my interpretation is correct, then that is quite sweeeet.
