I'm way too lazy to post photos and stories and so forth
So I have to summarize this down to point form

day 0 (thur): moving house
highlights: none, except having beers at pete's house (finally) at 11pm, after moving out
day 1 (fri): melb -> auckland
highlights: crazy auckland drivers, the lack of activity on K road, prue getting catcalls from the street, papa jacks voodoo lounge ice fights
quote: "wow, the people are all so friendly" (either pete or prue, 10 mins after landing in auckland, without having even spoken to a new zealander, only people from australia on the plane with us) ... "somebody stole my SOCKS!" (pete at 8am)
day 2 (sat): auckland
highlights: taking a taxi to a volcano, looking around for 5 minutes, then calling a taxi back to the city ... most bizarre brewery tour EVER ... drinking in a frozen bar ... back at papa jacks ... meeting some people in hj's because we were all singing 'baby got back' ... them taking us to a bar and hearing "slice of heaven" ... waking prue up to tell her that

day 3 (sun): auckland -> rotorua (via te puke)
highlights: SO MANY te puke jokes ... rotorua being a ghost town filled with cockroaches ... someone being asked to leave the pub because they wore sunglasses
day 4 (mon): rotorua
highlights: rainy day, so change of plans, and going through waitomo caves on an inner tube ... pig and whistle, pete throwing his food all over the beer garden ... crazy drunk guy giving me his watch ... charlotte

day 5 (tue): rotorua -> taupo
highlights: mud, geisers, lakes, BABY LIONS!, big lions, zorbing, wet underwear, hostel mixups

day 6 (wed): taupo
highlights: skydiving, jet boating, ducks, honey, bungy jumping, drinking vb on the deck

highlights: winding road next 56km ... storm damage next 53km ... kiwis next 13km
days 8-10: wellington
highlights: weddings, $3 spirits, getting in trouble for having too many glasses on the table, go hard, go home, sleeping in hiding places, bacon in the corner pocket, getting sick of lambton quay road, filling water bottles
