Regarding the bit in Scots-Gaelic: Càite or "Càit" is not "Kate", as I've seen a few guess so far.

The line is repeated in English when Jeremy's on the beach. There's no important information in Scots-Gaelic that isn't delivered in English, we promise.

Isn't it "cat"?

If only there were some interconnected network of information that I could access through a computing device atop my desk!

*ahem* But yes, restraining from Googling, from what I recall of fairy-terms in Scots-Gaelic, I want to say it's "cat" (and dog is something like 'koo')

The acute accent is important. If you're typing "cait" into google you're going to get the wrong translation, which I'm guessing is where people are getting "cat" and "Kate" from.

It's "where". As I said, the line is repeated in English.

Thought I'd drop by and let you know. I live in Burbank, California USA...and sitting right by the counter in a book shop I just went into...Platinum Grit #4 from 1995. There were large stacks of recently purchased comics the store hadn't organized yet so I had my girlfriend help me dig through the entirety of the piles and we still only found the one.

But it was special to me, since I love the Grit so much and therefore I took it home with me and I plan to love it to pieces.

Thus the end of my story.

Hi Trudy. Not sure if this is the best way to contact you, but I don't have your email address to hand.

A couple of years go you did a commission on my behalf to work up a tattoo design. I'm in New York at the moment, and yesterday I had it inked. I thought you might like to see the result.

There' a shot of it over at http://patchworkkid.livejournal.com/1082638.html

The shield interior will probably wind up being grey-shaded at some point just to solidify it out, and the banners may get a similar treatment.

I just wanted to say thanks. This is my first tattoo - and one of the few I'm likely to get - and it meant a lot that you agreed to work it up. I couldn't be happier with it, for so many reasons.

All the best,

Cam
