Just so everyone knows how big a loser / geek I recently I watched 4 westerns today. I really wish I could get ahold of some folks to hang out with

*sigh* ah, grasshopper, you clearly have forgotten the teachings of Lohan and the ruthless and insane dictatorship that was Corbett. It was, That's The Way We've Always Done It. Are you still in touch with anyone? I'd love to know how Jonah and Landon are doing, and any of the old Theater of the Nevertheless kids. Elizabeth Ford is coming over on Sat for tea and communism, or some such.
I hope this post makes sense to you cause it certanly won't to anyone else.

Embrace the western, my friend. Here's a list to check out: some obvious, some not.
1. The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (The Duke, Jimmy Stewart & Lee Marvin; directed by John Ford) 2. The Sons of Katie Elder (The Duke, Dean Martin) 3. High Noon (Gary Cooper) 4. Shane (Alan Ladd) 5. Unforgiven (Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman) 6. Quigley Down Under (Tom Selleck, Alan Rickman) 7. Legends of the Fall (Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins, Aiden Quinn) 8. Rough Night In Jericho (Dean Martin, George Peppard) 9. Once Upon A Time In The West (Henry Fonda, Jason Robards, Charles Bronson -- directed by Sergio Leone) 10. Lonesome Dove (Robert Duvall, Tommy Lee Jones, et al)
9 & 10 are my favorite westerns of all time. I can give you more to look at if you want. Let me know. Maybe I'll just post 'em anyway. I was raised on westerns. My dad STILL thinks he's a cowboy, to some extent.

There's so many westerns it's kinda an under-taking to find the ones really worth watching. Thanks for the suggestions, I've seen only a couple of those and my list was getting shorter so it's good to add a few more titles- if only the local video stores and libaries will cooperate and have them in stock. I can't wait to see #9, I've heard it's really good from other people as well. my mom acctually bought it for me for christmas and I've sorta been saving it for after I watched some lesser works. Don't want to raise the bar too high too quick.
I want to make a western sooo bad. And who could help but want to be a cowboy after watching those movies?
