Went to the mountains.
mtns = Boone/W. Jefferson/Blowing Rock.
Got a Christmas tree.
I am tired.
CHRISTMAS TREES.
that's pretty typical for North Carolina mountain and hillsides,
for those of you that don't know.
This is "The One." A 10 ft'er.
Oh and that's my little sister. She's rather chubby.
Steps to Cutting Your Own Tree.
Step One:
Measure it so you know how much to pay.
In this case, $85. $8.50 per foot when the tree is over 10'.
Step Two:
Whip out the chainsaw.
Step Three:
Timberrr.
Step Four:
Throw it on the back of a trailer and go to get it baled.
Step Five:
Send it through the baler.
Step Six:
Toss it (gently) on the top of personal vehicle (preferrably, SUV).
Step Seven:
Tie that mutha down.
After making someone pay nearly $100 for the whole Christmas tree package,
it is only good manners to offer free hot cocoa.
CHURCH OF THE FRESCOES.
I took pictures inside the church,
but none of them turned out good.
So here's some outdoor shots.
JEFFERSON LANDING.
This is where we are having our prom.
I kind of invited myself inside,
explaining that I am on prom committee for North Wilkes,
thank you very much.

BOONE MISCELLANY.
We walked around downtown,
going in all the thrift shops and stuff.
There was a random dog in the doorway
of some hemp store.
Chances are, he'd been exposed to
too much marijuana.
omg truffles
best things everrr.
That last picture is of the ones we bought.
$2 apiece for those things.
In some neighborhood:
I wish you could see this house better.
It was incredible.
And, finally:
Bad picture, I know.
That was a house on top of the mountain,
so I wasn't exactly in range for this shot.
Apparently .. the cabin is for sale :)
