Ansia is still dead. Still not accepting it.

Anyhow, denial works a bit. Can't understand why the death of a bird is affecting me so much? Sigh.

On Thursday I went an saw James Blunt in concert with Mara, Pola and Mara's boyfriend Josh.

Josh is American, from Milwaukee. He told me about that state's Music Festival - Summerfest. I think I want to ( Read more... )

Sorry to hear about poor Ansia :(

on a lighter note, my boyfriend lives in Milwaukee... they have a lot of cool stuff going on in the summer all sorts of smaller festivals and stuff. A pretty neat place to live when the weather is nice. :)

Thanks.

I checked your journal before - really haven't been on LJ much for a while and haven't been on MSN/AIM/Yahoo either. Sorry to hear about your uncle :(. Hope your family is getting through it ok (as ok as they can that is...).

Lighter note: I think I might have to make this US trip happen. 2 weeks in the US of A might be fun. I guess you might be in Milwaukee in the summer? :)

He was riding his motorcycle, swerved to avoid a dog, and wasn't wearing a helmet. He was in a coma for several weeks and they thought he was doing much better (opening his eyes, but not really conscious), but he eventually succombed to an infection in his lungs... very sad really, he was an incredibly fantastic guy...

I'll probably be in and out of Milwaukee, more than likely I'll be living and working here (in Lafayette, IN) all summer, which is about a 3.5 hour drive so its pretty easy for me to get to Milwaukee.

That would have been a tough way for the family to loose a loved one :(. Sorry to hear that.

Don't know if the US trip is going to happen, but if it does I would love to catch up. Not sure I can talk Josh into putting me up though :). Might have to look into backpackers in Milwaukee, and book very soon I would imagine...

Sorry about your bird. =(

Also - I highly adore James Blunt. I wasn't sure I would like his CD, in all honestly, but the first time I heard it I was hooked. In fact, currently listening to it! He played in Seattle at the beginning of the month I think but by the time I looked into the show it was sold out and it was the first day of the quarter (shouldn't miss the first day!) so I didn't end up getting to go.

Thanks...

It is a great CD :). The concert was great. I am sure he will go back to the States again soon. I got the impression at the show that he was really enjoying touring, so will be doing it for a while :)

The tickets we got were not great, and they were bought in the first hour! We were way up the back.

I have up-front standing tickets for Nickelback next week, which should be amazing.

btw: Any good music festivals in Washington state?
