Ha ha... finalement, après deux étés de conduite en France, je me suis fait controller mon taux d'hébriété.. Ce fut amplement ridicule et particulièrement drôle. Tout d'abord il était 10h du soir et j'allais à une fête de village (lesquelles commencent généralement autour de 11h, donc tout contrôle d'hébriété AVANT ca est complètement inutile).

Hébriété is the state of drunkenness (god knows how many 'n' you're meant to put in there).

CQFD, Ce Qu'il Faut Dire, is used in formal to semi-formal contexts, meaning that whatever is being spoken of is quite self-explanatory. In this case, it just didn't occur to the policeman that people may want to go for a drive for other purposes than that of getting drunk.

Actually, you may find that the English word "inebriated" is from a similar root? For some reason the "h" was dropped, which is strange since you have similar consonants in words such as inherent or inhale. Or maybe it does have an "h" and i just never bothered to pronounce it?

Unfortunately haven't found anyone here to practice poi with :( people don't seem to see the fun in playing with fire ... festival was fun, they sold beer by the meter (which is like twelve beers put sides by sides). Which might have been interesting had the beer not be cut with water. It tasted like piss if anything. But music was fun and the singers were good!
