I just finised my first year of college, and I was all about not getting a loan because I knew I didn't want to have to pay it back. And too, I didn't want to be in debt! But in the end, I ended up taking out a loan. Sometimes you have to do what you gotta do to make sure that your education is paid for, and I realized that just because you take out a loan doesn't mean you'll be in debt.

Its sad that scholarship applications judge you on how much your family makes, as if they know how many bills you have to pay evey month ..BLEH! Dont get me started with financial aid!! If you want, I can help you find some scholarships down here! anyways, good luck and keep your head up !

Yeah i understand what you're saying. I just finished my first year at Xavier University (in Cincinnati.. home of the Musketeers!! WOOT WOOT! lol The best (Jesuit) university in all of Ohio www.xu.edu rotf) I go there on scholarship.. it costs like $30,000 a year to go there, and the scholarship I have pays 3/4 (it's because they need minorities to fill their quota lol, well that's what I think.. ain't nothing wrong with affirmative action!!) and the other 1/4 is made up of other small scholarships and a loan. At first I was worried about paying the loan back after I graduate, but they help you set up a payment plan over consecutive years, so it's not THAT bad.
