Out of Obscurity

I'm beginning to realize that I'm not as obscure as I once thought I was. When I see people that I went to middle school and high school with, (that I didn't even really like, let alone talk to) I'm utterly surprised to find out that they remember me and are oddly nice to me ( Read more... )

I don't know why school is such a breeding ground for nastiness and hatred. Ultimately it must have to do with different parenting styles. Mom and pops show a great amount of love to little Danny and then Danny's surprised and depressed when no one else seems to show as much appreciation to him at school. Not to mention that a lot of teachers - especially in elementary school (I fucking hate the majority fo the faculty at walker to this very day) - do not respect the sensitivity of other children the way they really should. But I think in the end everyone realizes that the mess that elementary-high school ended up to be was inevitable and that you have to forgive (or at least forget) the ones who made your life shitty and forgive yourself if you did the same, simply because you didn't know any better.

And I was about to make a snide remark about the word mind-bottling but according to urban dictionary some people actually use it. Hah.
