Hee. That postcard made my day. :) The story was wonderful, I loved how Sarah quit but didn't completely sever her ties with the CIA and how Chuck showed he really was the genius capable of becoming 'Bill Gates with style.' You've done a great job and I'm sad this is the last chapter. :( Hope you come up with more fics though. :D

The postcard was one of my favorite parts too! I'm glad this future-ending for our guys seemed plausible to you ... I'd like to think, in the long run, Sarah can be happy with Chuck and the CIA and Chuck can be the person he has always wanted to be.

I finally got around to reading this fic (I don't really do WIPs), and I have to say, this is PHENOMENAL. As far as AUs go, I could actually see it happening this way, with Chuck emboldened and having grown up from his Intersect experience, and with Sarah still doing the CIA thing, but having "retired" from active duty and finally finding her normalcy. It's so achingly in character, and there are great touches in there that add to the complexity of this piece: Lester and Jeff with the video camera in Snowed In, Ellie as Chuck's personal cheerleader in this chapter, and most of all the postcard (and Sarah's slight sadness at not talking to Casey much). It's all fantastic and your pacing is perfect. You have managed to turn an amusing cliche to a deeper, more meaningful narrative without rushing it or dragging it on. The jumps from chapter to chapter show growth that is believable, and the time jump between 5 and 6 is just right. Bravo!
