Yes, you did display an uncharacteristic level of ignorance. I was quite shocked by you, actually. You usually present yourself as someone who's well-educated and, furthermore, loving. I clearly see what you mean when you said that you see things in James you used to see in yourself. I didn't appreciate the negativity or the judgement. I would love to be your friend, and feel that I am making quite an effort(calling from New York just to see how you are, talking to you about the concert because I know you wanted to be there, etc.), but you're making it increasingly difficult.
We're all so freeking crazy. If saying I'm sorry makes anything better, then I'm sorry. yet,this is it, and it really doesnt matter if things change or not, this is still it. To say it absolutely straight forward. I dont care, THIS IS IT.
