So, this tutorial works best if the caps are dark and blueish. If they're too bright or anything else, it may not work. But here you go:

I start with my Veronica Mars Base. This is from a flashback from 1x01.


Step 1:
Duplicate the base and set it to Screen.


Step 2:
Add a new layer. Fill it with #EAB48B and set it to Overlay.

Step 3:
Add a new layer. Fill it with #AADFF3 and set it to Color Burn, 60% Opacity.

Step 4:
Add a new Curves Adjustement Layer. I only used the Red Channel. Here's how it looks:


Settings
First Point: Input 75, Output 27
Second Point: Input 141, Output 122
Third Point: Input 179, Output 210

Now I have this:


Step 5:
Merge Everything.

Step 6:
I didn't really like the pink wall on the left side of the icon so I took a Soft Rounded Brush (Size 35) and applied it over the pink wall. Here's what I got:


THAT'S IT! Wasn't that bad, huh?
