Sometimes I wonder if Minister Bagnold is only half an idiot or a complete idiot. The woman has no sense of political self-preservation. This administration is going to the dogs, or to the purebloods. There's no difference either way.

Misters Bartemous Crouch, Mister Cornelius Fudge, Mister Albus Dumbledore: the Office of the Minister of Magic has

This concerns a controversial piece of legislation currently being pushed by the United Muggleborn Society. The Minister of Magic wishes to hear your thoughts on the following:

Muggleborn Affirmative Action Bill

In light of the recent anti-muggleborn sentiments and radical purist movement, there is a need to create a safe space for muggleborn witches and wizards in our society. The Anti-discrimination Act is no longer sufficient in these times of conflict. The Muggleborn Affirmative Action Bill seeks to pull muggleborns out of thier marginalized state and into the center of wizarding society by providing priority and preference to them over the more-advantaged pureblood sector of society.

For years, muggleborns have been made to feel that they are not part of the wizarding community. Many muggleborn witches and wizards, despite having completed thier wizarding education, are forced to take up muggle jobs becasue wizarding companies and institutions will not hire them for thier lineage. The Affirmative Action bill will change the very nature of wizarding proceedings by giving muggleborn witches and wizards the opportunity of an equal playing feild with thier pureblood counterparts.

Please send an owl regarding this to the Minister of Magic as soon as possible. Thank you.

Dolores Jane Umbridge
Junior Undersecretary to the Minister of Magic

There is much to say about the media circus in this country. Unfortunately, I haven't got the luxury of time to say anything about it right now. So I'll let it go. For the moment.
