My Childhood, Jaded.

When did the lesson-teaching, heart warming Sesame Street, starring Big Bird and his best friend, Snuffalufagus, become a bunch of giant stage costumes doing pseudo-hip-hop dance moves? And how did Elmo get cool? I hated Elmo.

NO! Not pseudo hip-hop! It can't be!

Sorry for begging off last night. I'm still fighting off the cold I caught last week, so I just couldn't talk myself into getting out of bed. Next week?

Cookies are an all the time food, and anyone who says different can go screw themselves. Hmmph.

I know! Cookie Monster sold out. He's just a puppet now.

I heard a rumor that he was now the "carrot monster." Cookies aren't Adkins for Fat Children friendly. Major marketing faux pas.

I don't know if it's true or not. My sources are often unreliable.

What's the new take on sleepovers?

Because Ducks is staying over with Brian tonight and won't be back until tomorrow. Want to come over?

Nah... Honestly, with her in close proximity, I'm a little squigged about it all. It's cool so far for me to continue staying with Aurora, so I'm going to ride that out a bit because it's easier.

I think when Elmo went on the Rosie O'Donnell Show was the moment he became cool.

Odd.

I just have this image of a cat humping the doll and the doll saying, "No, don't! That tickles! Hee hee! Stop it!"

That's my favorite Elmo memory.

y'know, i can't think of elmo and not think dirty thoughts. why? because of the tickle-me-elmo's that used to say (i dunno if they still do or not) "i like bananana's!" before they'd giggle and wiggle.

just sayin'.

p.s. it was all about oscar the grouch and cookie monster, dude.

Oscar the Grouch was my favorite. He was totally the goth of Sesame Street.
