Ah, the old "Clark Kent is just Superman with fucking glasses come on!" argument. Now first off..let me just say that it is unfair to blame the Superman Returns filmmakers for this as it has been part of Superman lore since he was created in 1938. To change it for "the movie" would cause vast amounts of outcry from every fan in the world, myself included. And to blame this on the creators of Superman would be unfair also as they were like fucking fifteen when they created him. Now, I'm gonna explain why I think the glasses works, but blaming it on the producers, writers, or directors of the movie is unfair as,basically,if you make a Superman movie, you have to make with it the only difference between Superman and Clark Kent being glasses..that would be like saying Kryptonite doesn't kill him or that Lex Luthor is his best friend(which is actually true if you watch Smallville
