Ugh, I hate people like that! He assumes that she'll just take his word for it, and most of the time they do. Our landlady is a total ditz, and she forgets when she says she'll have things done. I just wrote a note with our rent asking when our garage door opener would be fixed (since she's been saying all summer it would be). Next step is to call the actual property owner and tell her that things aren't getting done. LAME.

Oh, I talked to Aunt Mel today (it's her birthday) and she said we should all meet at her house before we go dress shopping the weekend we'll be in town for 'tea and crumpets and catching up.' Which will probably turn into soda and cookies and laughing-time, but it should be good.

This one was surprisingly resolved better. The plumber came (while i was on freaking deadline!) and fixed the sink. The shower isn't going to be fixed without some repiping, apparently, he said. He apologized and said he tried to call, but it didn't work. I'm guessing he didn't do the 208 in front of the number like we told him to. Stupid long-distance.

Tea and crumpets? WHAT.

No, you're right, it should be good. OMG I cannot wait to see you.

Oh man, plugged sinks suck...I have to suffer with that since my landlord is a DIY moron...and he won't pay for stuff to get fixed, he wants to "Do it himself" but then he never gets around to it OR fuxks it up worse...:P
WTF though, I hate when people say they will be there and then never show up...
WOW and he lies to your landlady? What a great plummer, sheesh...

Yeah, these guys screwed it up worse the first time. He came again today and the sink is fixed now! The shower is another story, but whatev. I'll take what I can get at this point.
