Move over Jon Stewart...

I am totally in love with Stephen Colbert. His show is so freaking hilarious and painful to watch, in the way that the Daily Show used to be. I mean, seriously, it's awesome ( Read more... )

Did you notice that he used a Strangers with Candy line? "Think about it--I haven't"

I'm an idiot...hopefully this responds to your comment and it is obvious that my other comment responds to Beth...
Yeah and damn their, what, 3 season run? Was it even that?
I was introduced to SWC by Beth like 4 years ago and at first didn't get why it was so funny. And then I got it and I could not stop laughing. So hilarious.

The guy who plays Jellineck and Colbert were on this show waaaaay back on Comedy Central called "Exit 57" and it was awesome. I found a site selling DVDs of it, but it looked shady as hell.

im not sure what the official name of his speech was, but it was the closing speech of the dinner. he was hilarious in it. crooksandliars.com has a clip of the story on colbert report on 60 minutes. it's hilarious how he got such a luke warm reception. the righties weren't laughing, and the lefties didn't know what to do.

i used to hate his show. the first few weeks were just stupid, but he's seemed to find a stroke lately. the colbert report is brilliant.

what book did you have for research methods? was it Earl Babbie? if so, i'm so very very sorry.

Oh my gosh, it was the most hilariously on point speech. And he did it IN FRONT OF THE PRESIDENT. I mean, I was watching it like holy crap! I can't believe he just said that! While still laughing my ass off. I mean, "soaring like the Hindenberg!" HA! And I agree, no one had any idea what to make of it...apparently they don't understand sarcasm and irony. That or their backbones have effectively been reduced to jelly. Regardless, he has mucho huevos grandes ( ... )

Amy Sedaris is hot. I saw her on Letterman and, may I say, WHOO!

I still have to take 3 classes next fall. So, December '06. I'm shooting to have my paper ready for public eyes by the end of this summer. I have to find a diplomatic way of begging my teachers to help me during the summer. I'm not quite sure how to get around doing it. They're sounding like they might make it to the next Thirsty Thursday (5/11), so I think that's the perfect opportunity.

But, if you're having trouble sleeping at night, I've got 21 pages of Buffy creaminess. It'll knock you right out.

I would like to read it, fo shizzle. And I think that your teacher(s) would be excited to help you out...or they should be excited to help a self-motivated, bright student like yourself. Hopefully they won't make you beg. But I am sure that plying them with cheap beer at Thirsty Thrusday would help encourage them...

hey, i didn't see steven colbert but i did see clips of Bush with a body double who they made say all these things that Bush was supposedly thinking. And he went off on this long rant about Cheney being "the great white hunter" and so on. I mean, that shit was funny, but doesn't it cross a line for the president to be joking about it? Damn, he's stupid.
