I apologize in advance for my ranting (I don't plan on doing it, but I feel it coming) and I promise to try to keep this as short as possible ( Read more... )

I personally never thought of you as being overly religious or overly not religious, but then I've only really known you for a month or so ( ... )

1. No, life is not worth it without love. The point of life is to love. Love people. Love God. Love love ( ... )

God sounds pretty selfish.
as far as i can see, God wasnt the main preacher of love, Jesus was. Jesus' messages shine clear to me. But the vengence and greed of The Holy Bible's God confuses me. Wrathful is his charge, love is his cover (or so it seems).

As far as honoring thy father and mother, my interpretation is that a child it to bring honor to them. one does this by being an honest and an overall good person. one tries their best to do what they think is right. what could be more honorable than that? and why cant honest, good people hold hands if they want to? kiss if they wish? why are these things banned when at the time the bible was written (by man) kissing was a general gesture. men kissed men, women kissed men, priests kissed saints, and so forth. i understand that kissing usually goes farther, but that is for the person to decide, not God.

Im not trying to argue, just speaking my mind. dont chastise me or try to convert me please.

God is wrathful. You've hit it on the head.

It always comes as kind of a "whoa" when someone says that though. I don't want to think of Him as being vengeful or mean, but it's admitted in the Bible. And He's jealous.

this is one of those posts that has, "lindsey, stay out of this and keep your mouth shut," written all over it. but responses in general...
1. since you do not post that often, rants only make up for you not posting daily. and if you do decided to rant and it just so happens to take someone almost an hour to read, so be it. it is your journal. no one is forcing someone else to read it, they choose to read it and if they don't want to read it... "why are you on their friends" list ( ... )

people can only do what they feel is right. and that is all anyone can ask from anyone else.

Love is the pulse of life. Without it, one cannot truly live in all aspects of the word. But love doesnt mean relationship. people can love without ever touching each other. and just feel lucky that you have the chance to love someone, even if that love can not be physically shown.

i know that wasnt what you wanted to hear. but do not think that i am religious (as you would define it, not i) and many people think me as sacreligious, but i am not. i simply live my life as best i can and trust who i want to trust and love who it is i love. i do what i will, and it harms none. that all i feel anyone can want of me or of you.

i love you. your rants are deep and they make me feel. you are very good at putting your thoughs into words...
