I heard something odd and was not sure if it was true...I was talking to the bass player of the Farrell Brothers and asked him if they would be playing with the Horrorpops in Winnipeg again. He said no and he was very suprised that they actually played with them last time because apparently they will not let bands with upright basses open for them

I have confirmation from a psychobilly band here in London, Ontario (well via a group post on myspace) saying that this is infact true. This band that I speak of wanted to play with them but were not allowed to because of the stand up bass. I think it is because they don't want anyone to upshow them or as put before "steal their thunder". It's like they want to be the "special band" on the bill.

They played here in May of last year and are going to be here April 18th. So right after the show here, it was posted. I can understand it, but also don't really agree with it.

Also, the Farrel Brothers don't have a crazy stage show. I think they are amazing, but they are just three guys up on the stage playing. Maybe that also has something to do with it.
