I am so sick and tired of hearing the latest little intricacies of Brian 'Head' Welch's religious journey *including the Jesus tattoo on his hand for the prevention of his masturbating...urgh* but to read that about Maynard is just....hopefully wrong =(

im not sure what to think - on one hand its completely ridiculous considering tool/perfect circle's songs content and lyrics, and well, just about everything makes it pretty unbelievable. On the other hand, its the kind of thing maynard would do and theres this email (to the guy who runs toolshed, tool fan site, though tellingly, their forums are down at the moment)

"hi, kabir. i thought it only fair to inform you first, before you hear it second or third hand. some recent events have led me to the rediscovery of jesus. tool will need to take the back seat. this may come as a shock. i just thought you should know considering all the support you given us over the years.

all my faith. maynard."

but then again it could just be an elablorate joke. Maybe Maynard believes he's jesus. maybe he found an image of jesus in a pork pie and is real busy flogging it on ebay...i dunno. But one thing - not to remind you of this - but wouldnt head need tattoos on both hands to truly prevent himself from the sinfulness of self pleasuring?

all head has done in his musical career is wank anyway :P maybe he is so guilt ridden for unleashing korn onto the world that hes turned to jesus.

as for tool.. you can tell that maynard is pretty well versed in the teachings of jesus, and i'm not sure but he does seem a bit.. well catholic. so maybe he has turned back to religion. However after everything he has done and been through, i dont think he'd just write an email like that /: who knows. if he has turned back to religion then... its a HUGE loss to the music industry.

tis an aprils fools, but they made it seem like it wasn't by saying that it wasn't... but no-one's owned up yet i think. someone will one day soon.
