the whole reason I started livejournal was because of her and her group of friends. so i give her this final tribute while she makes her final journey. gina, i'm glad you can finally be at peace.
RIP Gina Suzanne Wallace

Gina Suzanne Wallace, age 23, died suddenly at her home in Pontiac on Sunday morning, October 5, 2008, of unknown causes. Born on July 1, 1985, in Dallas, TX, Gina is the daughter of Preston and Peggy (Folgmann) Wallace of Farmington Hills. When she was eight years old, after living in Connecticut and in London, England, her family returned to Michigan where her mother was from. Gina went to North Farmington High School and Oakland Community College where she studied political science. Robert Kennedy was one of her heroes and Gina worked passionately on several local and national political campaigns. For the past year she has worked as a substance abuse counselor with Sequoia Recovery Services in Pontiac, assisting other young people in their efforts in recovery from substance abuse. She regularly attended the Recovery Church in Pontiac.
Gina is survived by her loving parents, Preston & Peggy Wallace of Farmington Hills; siblings, Leah Wallace of Detroit and Nathan (Sara Crosby) Wallace of Columbus, OH; grandparents, Gerald & Joyce Folgmann of Livonia and Carl & Becky Wallace of Dallas, TX; her niece, Simone. Also survived by aunts and uncles, David & Chris Wallace, Frank & Ruth Henshall, Andy & Pam Folgmann, Jeff & Julie Londo, Nancy and Betty Folgmann and five dear cousins and many friends who join with her family in mourning her death and giving thanks for her life among them.
Funeral services will be held from Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty, Milford, Wednesday, October 8, 11 am with Pastor Paul Ferrell officiating. Graveside services will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery in Beverly Hills. Friends may visit Tuesday 4-9 pm. Memorials may be made to Recovery Church, 100 N. Saginaw St., Pontiac, MI 48342.
