RSL taped PSAs for animal abuse

Jun 13, 2006 17:55

As some of you may know, Robert Sean Leonard taped some public service announcements for the NJSPCA. He was very generous with his time. The first PSA is currently posted at our website. The theme of this particular spot is "speaking for those who can't speak for themselves." Here is the link: Leave a comment

Thank you so much for posting the link! The pictures are really cute, and the PSA is great. It's really hard to watch anything on my computer, so I had to hit the reload button about fifteen times to get through it, but it was worth it.

That's awesome! The pictures are lovely (mm, especially the third one down) and the PSA turned out really well -- those can sound so forced sometimes.

So were you all 'OMG RSL is sitting in my armchair / drinking lemonade from my kitchen / standing on my front lawn / etc.' or were you too busy running about making sure everything was working properly? :D

Ha, yes, I imagine so.

Any stories about what he was like, or did I miss the commentary on this already (since you say some people already knew what was going on), or is it a politeness/privacy issue? Am curious.

I had posted about the shoot at televisionwithoutpity.com and the Devoted to Hugh forum and shoedog had posted some pics here from the NJSPCA website, so I thought some people may have read about it already. I didn't write much commentary. Robert and his fiancee, Gaby, were kind enough to tape these NJSPCA PSA's with their dogs at our house. Gaby taped a PSA regarding horse abuse. It was a lot of fun; the dogs were adorable, kept falling asleep on Robert's lap (as you can see in this first PSA). Robert and Gaby were wonderful to work with and very giving. It was a pleasure meeting them.
