Mega leaned back in his chair, taking a long drink from his coffee cup, it was so...peaceful without Tai-San around, it was almost as if he was on holiday, it was simply wonderful. That didn't mean, however, that he hadn't kept an eye on Tai-San, and he'd seen her little run in with Lex, though he'd narrowed his eyes and watched, trying not to fume

Watching the entrances to the Mall was a very boring task. He saw two girls he did not know on a side balcony, and a couple of street kids he'd never seen before exit and take off into the city, and a couple of injured go inside, then their pink haired...co-sheriff or whatever it was that her title had become, she left and went out into the city. Someone else, May, he recalled, left through the carpark, Salene and some guy with blonde hair had returned from what looked like a very fruitful trip to the Market. Mega sneered at this, it was amazing how half of the city couldn't get enough potatoes or fruits to sustain themselves for a week, but the Mall Rats could blow through the market and pick up enough food for their Tribe, all umpteen million of them. They really had become just like a pack of rats, nesting in that Mall, hoarding food, spreading filth. Well, the last part wasn't exactly true, but in Mega's mind all he could imagine was the Mall Rats spreading disease, and it made him narrow his eyes amusedly
