Mega:Evil Doer Headquarters:Location:Unknown

Mega scowled at his computer monitor, frustrated, the Paradise program was pissing him off, he couldn't figure out why it was doing what it was doing and he felt his irritation rising. Melvin had kept Mega up to date on what happened in the monitors, but nothing really interesting was going on. Then, Java left, and Mega frowned, leaving Melvin on ( Read more... )

I'm sorry Mega, I didn't know he would only be working on a game, didn't you like it? Virtual Java was complacent, she wasn't enough to take his anger off of it, she almost didn't care about Mega and how angry he was, sitting there with her boots up on the table, filing her nails, a passive look on her face.

Storming over to the chair she sat in, Mega grabbed her by her upper arms in anger, shaking her and screaming, Don't you get it? It's not about games Java! This is serious! We're trying to take over this city or had you forgotten? I can't take over this city if I am wasting my time on simulation games all day!! That did him no good either, as she wrenched her arms free and stood up, getting in his face and screaming.

Now you listen here you little weasel! If Lord Ram thinks that a simulation game is worthy of wasting time on, then it is you hear me?! though her demeanor instantly changed and she put on a soft and demure smile. Perhaps it's got a hidden meaning in it Mega, did you try breaking the code down? she asked as she ( ... )

Java made it to Mega's with little trouble; the apartment and the base were both on the edge of the city, after all, and her only real concern was remaining unseen. Focusing on the task at hand helped keep her calm for most of the journey, but at the edge of the base, Java felt her strength give out. She looked up at the old building, her chest constricting around her heart. Blurred images flashed through her mind, of vials reflected in glasses and empty eyes, and spiders that crawled along her arms in the dark, and pain, which she was surprised to find herself remember as Purple. If you don't go in, she reminded herself, forcefully, you will die.Squaring her shoulders, Java headed into the base, her expression a condescending sneer that had always served her well as a mask for fear. Throwing open the front door as if she owned it, her head held high, Java stepped in like a Queen inspecting a distasteful segment of her empire-- which, in a way, was exactly what she was. Her eyes scanned the entry room, briefly, before she headed ( ... )

Like that, Mega? Java was bent over him, doing things to Mega that, well he'd only ever dreamed of in reality space, things even Tai-San wouldn't do without a bit of force. Only, Java used the force here, and he liked it. It was a give and take, equal balance, using force back and forth, a struggle, but he always gained control in the end. Could it really be that way with Java? Mega didn't care, he hadn't even realized he'd reached into his pants, unbuckling his belt and everything. "Java, more, please," he muttered, though he continued to speak with his direct style, it came out wavering, almost pleading for her not to stop. It took him a minute to realize what was going on, when the helmet was ripped off of his head, he assumed this was more of the VR, Java taking control in a new way, but then he realized, his thoughts weren't being taken into account any longer ( ... )

"What do I think I'm doing?" Java spat, circling Mega, one brow arching as her perfect little mouth twisted into an angry smile. "I think I'm interrupting something pretty interesting..."

"To be honest, Mega," she chided, toying with him, "I don't care about the booster. I care about how my employer," and one boot came down to rest heavily on top of the helmet, "chooses to occupy his spare time." The smile curved wickedly, flashing a glimpse of sharp teeth as she leaned forward a bit, holding his gaze. "Mind if I have a little look?"

"I'm crazed?" he returned, "Look at you, you're acting like you have lost what mind you had left Java!" Mega adjusted the sleeves of his uniform and sat up, "I had to Java, I did what was necessary to get you in the right frame of mind, to counter react the years of Techno-" he was cut off, she wasn't listening and she had her hand around his throat, tightening down. His eyes focused on hers, he could see in her eyes just how fragile she really was, and then she released him, and he gave a quick cough, his lips pulling up into an angry frown. "Foolish Java," he coughed at her, "If you want your Ram back, you'll work with me, if you want him to get his place in this world, instead of playing with toys all day, then you'll work with me, instead of against me. You'll get your antidote when you can prove you're worthy and loyal," he sat up and adjusted the collar of his uniform. "Are you going to kill me," he asked, as if he was waiting for her to hurry up and finish her job, his eyes emotionless, though a little expectant, waiting. "I ( ... )

Java's hand fell to her side, the T-gun powering back down as Mega's words began to sink in. He was a fool, but he was right about one thing: She would get nowhere by fighting him. Java's blood was boiling in her veins, but she couldn't put Sivie and Ram in harm's way, no matter how angry she was, and the simple fact remained that it was only through Mega that she could get what she wanted-- the antidote included. She had thought he was bluffing before, but now... You knew how to play along, once, Java reminded herself, drawing a deep, steadying breath; surely you can still manage it... Her fingers flexed against the gun as her stomach twisted. Responsibilities could not be ignored ( ... )

Mega moved closer and put his arm around her, just as he'd done in the closet, pulling her to him and hugging her, "Shh, it's ok Java," he said gently, what he'd longed to say every time he'd held her, to chase her fears away with his reassurance, though he couldn't, and he hadn't, and Mega gave a heavy sigh. "You have been through many tests Java, not the least of which was your Techno training, there are components of that training that you need to overcome, there are easier ways," he frowned a bit but reassured himself mentally that it was right. "Look," he tilted away from her, the TGun moved to the floor and shoved away, his hand coming back to tilt her chin up, "let's get you settled on the bed, I don't know where he is, but he should be on his way, and we can't have you in a state when he gets here," Mega didn't like Line anymore than Java did, but he was an asset to the organization, and he did know what he was doing. He gave her a knowing look, "I promise, I'll keep my," Mega cleared his throat and looked away quickly, "Hands ( ... )

Java folded her hands together in her lap, regretting the decision to abandon the T-gun even as she marvelled at how surprisingly sweet Mega was being towards her. She'd just threatened his life, had just screamed all sorts of things at him, and yet he was being gentle with her, comforting her as though she was something more than just a deranged employee he occasionally fantasized about. He suddenly seemed almost human, actually, with his reassuring hugs and gentle words, and it bothered her.

Java ran the tip of her little finger along the edge of her lower lip, wiping away a smudge of lipgloss, and straightened her top. She chanced a glance at Mega, whose expression she couldn't read, and then lowered her gaze to her hands, absently studying her rings and trying to clear her head. She couldn't kill Line, either, she reminded herself, so long as she was playing Good Girl for Mega; she had to keep her temper in check until the time was right. She could smell Mega's scent on her clothing.

She looked up at the doorway, waiting.
