Mega and Tai-San - Headquarters - Location Unknown

Sep 17, 2004 05:01

"Tai-San, it's time to wake up," Mega spoke softly, but precisely, pulling the prototype visor from her face. He'd watched her sleep for a short while, mulling over what she'd been saying, trying to comprehend everything. Tai-San thought she was locked in reality space, one that was terrifying to her, and he'd finally convinced her to relax and ( Read more... )

Jolted awake, Tai-San moaned, her brain felt thick, heavy, and it was hard to open her eyes again. "Where," she began, confused, had it all just been a horrible dream? She didn't feel as bad as she remembered, but she couldn't seem to remember much. Last night was still kind of vivid, but it didn't leave that feeling of complete panic in her heart as it had, and the alcohol and hangover had worn off, and now she just felt so very tired. Sitting up slowly, Tai-San propped herself on her elbows and cleared her throat, looking at Mega sitting there now at the end of the bed, a program running on the computer behind him. "What time is it? What day is it? Have I...was I sent to the Mall?" She was confused, and blinking a few times she sat up, pulling her legs up and sitting cross legged on the bed, she wanted to be cranky, she wanted to be upset and angry, she could feel that which compelled her earlier, but now she was deflated, like a balloon and all she could bring herself to do was sit here, eyes closed, half asleep, and wait for Mega ( ... )

Mega watched her silently for a few moments, letting her get her bearings, but when she closed her eyes sitting up and looked as if she'd fallen back asleep, he clapped again, "Don't, go back to sleep, Tai-San. You were sent to the Mall, you've been sent to collect information on the Mall Rats, and you were instructed not to return without information to give, so I assume you didn't just come here to kill me without fulfilling that end of the bargain?" Mega knew better, of course he didn't expect her to actually have any information regarding anything yet, she hadn't even been there a full day and if her talk earlier was any indication, well she hadn't had a lot of time to settle into finding things ( ... )

Tai-San's eyes flew open, but she did not jump, for some reason she was extremely relaxed, a thought that bugged her in the very back of her mind but didn't take precedence over other thought processes beginning in her mind. Her face became sallow, the blood draining out as Mega demanded information, and she blinked but only her left eye closed, trying to think of something to tell him. As he turned around she was glad for time to stall, thoughts turning over in her mind a million times, "Nothing goes on, there's a lot of kids fighting in the streets, Salene seems a bit stressed out, they have a hospital," she spoke quickly trying to figure it all out, what to tell him exactly ( ... )

Mega folded his hands together and placed them in his lap, his elbows resting on the arm rests of his computer chair, slouched down a bit in the seat as he listened, not interrupting, not changing the subject, observing and soaking in the information. Now that he had a better understanding of this Zandra girl, and why Tai-San would have major issues with her return, the only thing missing was how Tai-San had seen her again exactly. When she jumped up off of the bed he sat up, ready to command her to sit back down, but she made a valid point, he didn't want to tip the Mall Rats off to much, it was already risky for her to be seen leaving here at all, especially during the day ( ... )
