What's wrong with being a shy person? Just because I'm not comfortably outgoing doesn't mean I don't like to get to know people. Sometimes I just don't really know how to start a conversation with people I've never met before. However, with my friends and people that I'm familiar with, I'm loud, even sometimes obnoxious. Stop judging me on my ( Read more... )

I'm exactly the same way, & i've always got the "why don't you talk" thing & it's so annoying. I Just want people to leave me alone & let me be how I am, you know. I've always been a shy person around people I don't know but as i'm getting older I feel that i'm getting more comfortable around people. idk.

I do believe shyness is by far more appealing than being the loud one. Nobody likes obnoxious.

That's funny because by reading your LJ I never would have guessed that you're a shy person. Funny how things work that way huh?

haha yea i know, weird ehh? its not like im "scared" to talk to people, i jsut have nothing to say..."oh hey you, person i dont know, hows ur family i dont know? or classes i dont know u take? or people i dont know u chill with?" its hard getting to know someone when u first meet them.

...that's where beer comes in...hah.

And I don't really see it as anyone else's "problem" nor even my own. That's who I am. I'm not going to pretend to like a person and be talkative with them when I have nothing to say. I'm not fake.

I promise, soon enough, the real Gina will show through.

-so i'm confused on who the real gina is? the shy one, or the one that's going to show through? or did you just not try to contradict yourself?
(btw, not trying to be mean, but when i reread that, it sounded kind of harsh)

No I'm pointing out the fact then when I first meet someone, I'm quiet, I dont really know what to say to them. That's who I am, I am a person that's like that, no matter if Im meeting my sisters boyfriend or the president.

But, the "real" me, the comfortable, social, loud me, will show through once I know the person and actually have something to talk about. I don't classify myself as a "shy person" I am just shy AT TIMES.

Seriously, it doesn't take long for me to open up. I hung out with this girl Lindsey like twice before I felt close to her.

I think you just misunderstood what I meant.
