I'm on BT and I've not (as far as I know) had problems with my email. I did send you an email cc'd to ladygladrags - did you get that?

latency between some domains, which means that messages cannot get through between certain isp's.

that sounds a bit odd. Never heard of such a thing. I can ask around...

One idea - maybe some of your missing emails are getting caught as spam? I know this happens a lot for people on hotmail. Try logging into your webmail and seeing if there is stuff in your spam/junk mail folder.

Also - do any of the people that have tried email you get some kind of error message bounced back?

Zen Internet. Not the cheapest, but fantastic service and they employ staff that appear to know what they are doing.

I have Zen and it works. My mother, not computer literate, was walked through how to get the router up and running when we had a power cut and it was not the ISP router but my own, and they generally suppotred it.

I'm changing to talktalk for the free broadband and included calls stuffage. They do my phone already, so with the transfer they'll to phone, line rental, and broadband in one. Should be nice and simple.

Would you like a gmail invite? With thunderbird there are webmail plugins to access gmail, yahoo, and hotmail that all work well so far. And you install the gmail notifier to tell you when you have mail. All very easy I must admit. Let me know and I'll sort stuff out for you :)

talktalk is 0800 049 0020 to find out if it will work for you in your area. Gmail invite sent.

Thunderbird plugins for webmail are here:
http://webmail.mozdev.org/ in the download section, with instructions for how to install. Means no icky pop stuff required ( good for gmail ), and means you can check yahoo as well. I've added you to msn messenger if you need someone to talk you through installation :)
