Luke was also grateful that Jack's room did not require the use of stairs, seeing as the aforementioned stairs was occupied by quite a few people. Especially one certain person which he didn't really want to see at that moment.
Luke glanced around at the room. It was typical of someone like Jack--computer and miscellanous(sp?) mechanical parts were scattered all over the room. Near his bed (which could be called a cot, unlike Amber's wider bed), was a desk with various tools situated on it, ready to be utilized at any second.
Jack was on his bed, obviously tired. Luke was too, but tired would have to wait--Jack and himself had to talk. They had to talk now.
"I'm not fine." Luke found him self snapping.
Luke crossed his arms and sat down in a chair that was next to the desk. He spoke fast but sharp. "You left the mall? With Ellie? What happened? I don't understand! Where is she? What's going on?"

"Yes, I left the mall. No, not with Ellie. I wanted to spend some time away from the Mall and the city, so I left. I don't remember what happened after that. I just woke up a couple of days ago not temembering anything. Luckily my memory came back and I returned. Was that a convinving enough story, Lieutenant?" Jack knew this was no longer the case, but he also no it would be a sting. "Or are you gonna take me into custody?"
