Let's just skip right over the fact that I haven't posted in months even though I've been here all along. What can I say, I just haven't had much to say that couldn't fit into 140 characters or less (i.e. I've been posting on Twitter, at least for the past month

The blacklist has been on my to watch list since I saw the trailer, I am just a sucker for that kind of show and like you said Spader should rock this part :)
I have never even heard of the Trophy wife before hand but I have to say you are right it looks fun.
I am so scared of the Crazy ones. It's just not my humor at all but I really want SMG to have a good show again *sigh* But to be honest I already prepared myself for a failshow :(
Talking about humor, Rebel Wilson is so not my cup of tea. I just don't think she is funny. So not a show I will watch, I just sit on the sidelines and watch it burn *G*

I'm really surprised that The Trophy Wife looks so good considering the title makes me cringe. But I love Bradley Whitford and Malin Åkerman is really personable in that trailer.
The Crazy Ones is so that show every year that you want to like, but everyone involved make it So. Hard.
Everyone seems to love Rebel Wilson, I'm shocked to find someone else who doesn't! Well, actually, I don't think I've ever brought her up in a fandom context, so it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of us are like-minded on the issue. But in real life and in the entertainment industry, everyone seems to be united in thinking that people should just love her by default.

Sleep Hollow looks ridiculous, but also fun, so I'll give it a shot.
Blacklist: Wow, someone really liked the Clarice Starling/Hannibal Lecter relationship, huh?
Michael J. Fox was one of my first big crushes when I was a kid, so I have all these warm fuzzy feelings for him, so I'll definitely be giving his show a chance.
I love SMG and I find Robin Williams's usual schtick to be like fingernails on a chalkboard, so...we'll see how that works out.
Incidentally, Back in the Game has nearly the same problem, in that I find Maggie Lawson very likeable, while James Caan always strikes me as someone to avoid at all costs.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Trophy Wife, and The Tomorrow People all will probably get a few episodes to see how I like them.
Super Fun Night looks PAINFULLY bad.

I'm actually starting to look forward to Reign. If they make it juicy enough, it might just work. And it is the CW, they live for juice.

Anyway, definitely trying Shield, Tomorrow People and Reign. Want to give SMG's show a chance, but...it just does not look up my alley.
I marathoned Chicago Fire this summer and loooooooved it. I think its spinoff is a go? I'll give it a try despite my strong dislike of Jason Beghe's character, who was so irredeemable on the mothership. I know they tried to bring him around a bit, but ugh.

I stopped watching Dexter a long time ago, but I think I always meant to marathon it, but then I read that last season (or maybe the one before?) was really terrible, so my interest waned. How do you feel about the show, how's it been in the past 3-ish seasons?
A lot of these shows don't look to be up my alley, but I'm still trying them out because I've been pleasantly surprised before (and horribly disappointed, but let's not go THERE).
I enjoy Chicago Fire, but I'm not sure about the spin-off. I'm not really into police procedurals. Currently I'm only watching Rookie Blue, and that's for entirely other reasons. I generally prefer detective/FBI procedurals, they're less about the grunt work and more about the figuring out of clues. Which is totally my beat.

Yeah, the season before last (the one with Colin Hanks and Edward James Olmos) was really bad. Meh villains. But at the end they threw in a gamechanger that got me interested again. Last season was much better. For me, the show peaked with S4 and John Lithgow's villain. I still really enjoyed S5, though. Then S6 was awful, S7 much better. Now this is S8 and I'm definitely going to watch to see how it ends. I just got busy this summer. If you've seen S5 and are going to catch up, I would just watch the S6 finale (or the last five minutes even) and go from there. But even then, it's not *amazing* or anything. Worth watching and entertaining, but will never beat seasons 1-4, IMO.
Very true about shows being surprising. But ugh, a CBS comedy? I just don't see it happening for me unless everyone raves. :)
I hear you about police shows. I'll give it a try since I like most of the cast.

For me, Dexter was all about Debra, so when I heard about the whole Deb/Dex thing and the way I perceived it from obscure comments thing, I lost a lot of interest in the show (which, to be honest, wasn't my favorite to begin with).
I think the biggest problem with CBS sitcoms is Chuck Lorre. He's not involved in this, is he?! I mean, I watched HIMYM for over six seasons before getting truly bored with it.
For me, a police show has to be about the detective work, the deduction. The Chicago Fire spinoff (that I haven't even bothered to learn the name of) sounds like it would be more like Hill Street Blues. Which I guess was okay for its time, but it's not what I want to see these days. (Ironside, on the other hand, looks exactly like the kind of police procedural I'd like.)
