Fifth part

Hey everyone, hope your all okay J Well I’ve finished “My Moony Wish” so el spamola can hopefully smile, and not kill me for taking so damn long! If you like fluffy puppies (like moi) then you might like this. I have the other four parts on my journal _jenc_ for those of you who have no idea what this part means.

Remus was opening his eyes, this thought registered quite slowly with Sirius’ occupied mind; he was currently wallowing in dejected thoughts of Moony not wanting his love.
Said distracted mind, however, eventually caught on and had the sense to at least attempt to move Sirius from his stupour.
Move Man, before he catches you staring! Way to go Idiot, too late now…
Sirius watched with pleasure as Remus raised a hand to his face, rubbing away sleep from his eyes: Moony was simply beautiful.
Sirius, for as long as he could remember, had been of the opinion, that a Moony waking from snoozing under his blankets, was probably one of the most adorable things he had ever been privileged enough to watch.

Oh sweet Hell: He’s awake now and uh huh, he has noticed the tension. Damn Moony, sometimes I wish you were as clueless as James!
Okay, remain cool and composed: You’re Sirius Black, immune to petty nervousness, and unwanted silence; break the uneasiness with your superb brilliance…
Merlin I talk nonsense!

Sirius felt his heart jump as Remus gave him a piercing, searching look with his eyes, a look that told Sirius quite plainly: I know something’s wrong, but what?
Alright Sirius, you can still make it out of this hellish situation without have your arse cursed. He hasn’t worked out the truth yet…..
‘But you know he will’ came a voice within his brain, that voice that had tormented him earlier.
‘Best option now mate is to run like the wind, nature calls and all that’
Sirius’ brain came to a hault with it’s non-helpful suggestions, when his ears heard Remus’ gentle, quiet voice, carrying over the silent dorm:
“Sirius are you alright? You seem rather nervous”
Oh God, has he worked it out? Answer man!
Sirius felt ashamed of how weak his voice sounded:
“No. No. Not nervous. Me? Nervous? Never!”
Laugh, now!
Sirius felt his voice shaking as his forced laugh travelled around the room; he immediately regretted his foolish attempt, and let it taper into nothing….
He couldn’t breathe: Moony had stood up, and was moving towards him. His legs felt like jelly, but still he could not move them from the spot that seemed to magnetically hold him in place.
Sirius knew that it was Moony’s striking amber eyes that held him in place at the moment; truth be told, it was Moony who held him together in all aspects of his life. He never felt the sharp, intense pain of rejection, of being unloved by his cruel family, when Remus was there to hold his gaze and smile. Or to listen, yes! Moony was amazing at that! Sirius himself was rather hopeless, for he found it incredibly hard to shut up, but for Remus, he’d stay silent forever, if he could only just have one kiss…
Kiss? Mmmm… There’s a thought. To feel Remus’ soft red lips against mine, what I wouldn’t give!

Oh My God, he’s infront of me, looking into my eyes.
Moony I love you.

Wait! Sweet Merlin, and all the other clever guys we were supposed to learn in History of Magic: Tell me he hasn’t worked it out?!

Sirius felt like all the air had left the room, for Remus ‘had’ worked it out, just like Sirius knew he would eventually: He always was a damn sight smarter than James or I, just far more modest that us.

Mustering his wavering courage, Sirius looked back fully in to Remus’ eyes and to his stunned disbelief, he felt sure Remus looked utterly delighted with their present situation.
Can he possibly want me? No. No way! That’s impossible.
‘Why’ came a reasonable sounding voice, this one coming from his heart, Sirius only ever heard this voice speak, whenever anything concerned Remus.
‘He looks happy, I think he wants you to kiss him, go on… You’ll regret it if you don’t take the plunge now.’
Sirius’s stupid brain however, chose that moment to voice it’s opinion:
‘Don’t be a fool! You’ll lose him forever.’

At this thought, Sirius’ breath, which had been caught in his lungs, exhaled heavily.
Before Sirius’ mind or heart could start attacking one another or utter more words to confuse an already bewildered Sirius; he saw Remus’s hand come from no where, to land tentatively on his left cheek.

Explosions of sparkles and butterflies, erupted in Sirius stomach from that touch.
Oh Merlin, is this real?

Searching for confirmation, Sirius scanned Remus’ face and felt another explosion, Thank God he hadn’t eaten since lunch, for he felt giddy with excitement.
This was real. He saw the same amount of delight he felt himself, in Remus’s eyes; it was as clear as a rainbow after the rain, shining through those deep amber, filling Sirius’ whole being with complete happiness, such as he had never known before.

Remus was leaning closer now: He’s going to kiss me <3
Pressing his face into Remus’ hand, which was now lightly stroking his cheek with one finger; Sirius warpped his right arm around Moony’s slim body, feeling the heat radiating through Remus’ t-shirt.

His eyelids fluttered closed. Tilting his head to the left, he leaned into Moony’s comforting body; feeling like he was floating on a cloud, that only Remus and he were allowed to occupy: Sirius felt the soft brush of lips on lips.
Stars danced before his closed eyes, as his mouth touched, for the first time, those gentle, warm, slightly butterbeer and definitely chocolate flavoured lips.

He opened his eyes once more, when he felt Remus’s mouth leave his own. His right arm still wrapped around Moony’s waist, unwilling to let go. He noticed Remus’s hand had left his cheek and had settled on his shoulder.

Moony looked stunning. His mouth was rosier than before, matching is blush which had crept, as usual, into his cheeks, making him look even more endearing, but what captured Sirius’s attention and cost him to lose another couple of heartbeats (not that he minded of course).
Remus’s smile!

Trailing his free hand up to Moony’s face, he smoothed back the lock of hair which had fallen in front of Moony’s eyes.

“How long Padfoot?” said Remus, in a whispered voice, as though he were afraid to spoil the magic that had formed a circle around them.

“For as long as I can remember” he replied honestly.
Moony’s smile grew wider, more beautiful.
“You?” he asked.

“Like you I guess, though I only realised it for what it was during fourth year, you know when the hormones kicked in” laughed Remus, albeit nervously.

Sirius felt like God had just given him a first class ticket in to Heaven.
He then heard Remus’s quiet, almost frightened voice, this startled Sirius, but not as much as the question:

“How long do you think you’ll feel this way Padfoot? Stupid question to ask, but I really need to know” Remus looked pleadingly in to his eyes.

Sirius’s heart squeezed tightly, and his head for once agreed with his heart: Reply honestly.

“Forever. I need you Moony. I love you” <3

Small arms snuggled tightly in to his body, as Remus leaned his head gently against his shoulder; with one arm still wrapped protectively around Remus, the other he used to cradle Remus’ head against his chest. I’ll protect you forever Moony.
Unbeknown to Sirius, he had just fulfilled Remus’ ‘Padfoot Dream’.

Then it came. The words he had dreamed of hearing for so long:

“I love you Sirius.”

In that moment, Sirius decided to read every muggle fairytale book he could get his hands upon, all though he felt he could leave that one called “Sleeping Beauty”, for he was holding that in his arms.

I’ll never doubt the magic of a muggle, or especially the power of a Moony Wish. <3<3
