I have a theory. Married man + housewife = the following:

A married man, knowing that the woman of his dreams is at home, will rush through work getting more done, only so he can go home sooner, and get some lovin. And by lovin, I mean sex. His boss, as witness to his astounding work ethic (although ignorant to his incentives) then rewards him with promotion after promotion. Then, I become a rock star and rule the world. The end.
