Save us all from ultra-conservatives. What kind of people (apart from scumbag politicians) could turn such a disaster, where the human tragedy is so high, into a campaign to promote bigotry and hatred? That is a travesty to use such a disaster for their own purposes. This is exactly the kind of propaganda spinning reminiscent of a certain regime in the late 30's who I shall not mention.

That is all kinds of sick, and entirely untrue. It really says something when they have to resort to that kind of fear-mongering in order to get votes.

In my politics in the media class they showed us an ad that was showed in New Zealand many years ago. It went "Labour wants to raise taxes and take your money. With this money they could buy all the farms. In fact, they could end up owning everything [the map of New Zealand starts turning red] and we all know what that's called, don't we? [Russian cussaks start dancing across the screen]"

and now I want to download that song...

Erm... hi.

I don't even know you. One of this friend's page of the friend's page of a friend's page jumping kinda thing... but I just had to comment on this.

WTF?! That's an actual ad? Unbelievable. And the sadest thing is they actually believe that. It's always so easy to blame your "enemies" for the random bad things yet praise yourself for the good. Pathetic.

Ok, leaving now. I'm sorry I've intruded like that. :)

friend of a friend of a friend kinda thing....yehh i know bout that myself *g*

anyways, welcome to comment! and yes that was a 6-page flyer distributed to households via mail. it was produced by an interest group against abortion in a horrible language. the party candidate later tried to distance herself from this ad after it got into the news, but since she was the director of that interest group.........dunno where/how she even could distance herself from it!

freaky is that she got the 8th place in the overall vienna personal voting. (luckily though she didnt manage to get into the city-government nevertheless)
