you moved to cable cause it far less expensieve.
for exiting the vicious circle you ahve only to downklaod the window update form the uny
update windows without connecting it. when it's updated, istalling norton, when norton is on, installing the connnection.
meanwhile you are allowed to curse a little bit but not too much, and DON'T loose your patience: when you are impatient you become irrational and when you are irrational you make silly things.

now, go and fix it! cause we miss you when you are not on line!

The Windows Update botched up my system... but, I don't have Norton. Nevertheless, I uninstalled the update because it kept giving me pop-ups and this stupid task bar I didn't want. The taskbar was easy to get rid of; the pop-ups were not.

We don't have cable, we've got DSL. Dunno if that makes much of a difference.

Anyway, I'm sorry, dear. *offers bad American chocolate*

I downloaded the Windows Update too and it doesn't recognize my Norton. It keeps on telling that my pc is in danger, however I DO have a working Norton... :///...

Anyways.................... keep the faith..... Just two and (almost) a half week and I will tell your pc off personally!
