Hey Jess. I know that animal testing can seem cruel, and at times it could be considered needless cruelty. However, given the vast number of human lives that have been saved through animal testing, I think that to denounce it entirely would be unwise. Think of all the vaccinations you had to take before entering college (I know I had to take them). Those were probably all developed through animal testing. Almost all heart-medications, mental-health drugs, like anti-depressants or anxiety-reduction agents, and countless Nobel Prize Winning medical wonders, including the first ever antibiotic (pennicilin) and organ transplants, all involve animal testing during devlopment. Just think of how many people would be dead if not for organ transplants alone. In 2005 something like 20 THOUSAND lives were saved by organ transplants in the U.S. But that's just one example of the lives that animal testing has saved ( ... )

i would be dead without animal testing. and random animal parts.
i totally agree with john.
and a lot of the schools on that list are fairly prestigious medical schools, so if they perform a lot of animal testing, it definitely has a solid purpose behind it.
