Much better picture than the last. *grins*

But... I don't recognize the character. I assume she is dressed up like someone specific, or did she just randomly throw costume bits together? ;)

Hrm, yes, I was trying to figure that out as well. Definately 40K, from the gun looking matters. Definately not many of the armies, but I could see a dark eldar wyche there. Or a special character of some sort, that I have no idea of, which isn't surprising... I don't follow the specials all that much. ;)

Regardless, good picture, chap! And, I had expected more of the tables and stuff... I mean, how can I get my fix without pictures! :P

She was dressed as a ganger of house Escher from Necromunda, and was recognised as such by quite a few people.

Of course, Necromunda hasn't been 'mainstream' for quite a while now, being off in the Specialist Games range.

If you want pics of boards then here would be as good a place as any to look. I was, in fact, standing behind the camera in the photo captioned "Bugmans Lament is refought ... again" (or something like that)

Woo! Teh hotness! ;)

And Necromunda rocks, who can't love gangers killing each other just because they can!

I actually considered going this year since I've been hanging around a lot more with mates who do play, speaking of which, you know if Chris Blair entered Golden Demon this year and won anything? He said he was going to but I haven't spoken to him this week and his email is up the duff... so you're my next closest source! :P

Here's a link to the Golden Demon winners page - no Chris Blair there, but that doesn't mean that he didn't enter, of course, just that he didn't place or such.

And yes, Necromunda is a cool game. My gang even has a small online presence courtesy of one of my customers from when I was in Sheffield who runs a web forum on wargaming and that. Ok, so perhaps 1930's gangsters wouldn't have been in the underhive, but that doesn't mean a gang couldn't be inspired by legends of the gangs of ancient Terra. Or something like that.

Very cool indeed :)
1930's gangers for the win!

Shame there's no sign of Chris' stuff there, gods knows how many assorted demons he's won, plus a couple of slayer swords I think. The mans a painting fiend!

Well, you'll have to insist that he go next year and you go with him so we can have a chance to meet up on the day, or something.

And yep indeedly 1930's gangers for the win.

I've even got a gangster's moll with a grenade launcher somewhere "Boom Boom LaBelle" she was known as ...
