Some work is beneath you, and some work is not worthy of you, and so you refuse to work until the work is on your own terms. How tacky. Work itself is spiritual. And love is an action word, not a feeling, even self-love. The man who goes to work in a filthy steel mill to a job he hates because there's someone who is depending on him is demonstrating love. This notion that all work has to be self-fulfilling is a load of crap. Just work, do anything. The work will make you better. The lack of work will destroy you.

BTW, you look a lot like your grandfather.
