The features are different, not sure exactly what because I've only got the EE.

Different !! Oh this is bad.
I know the TTT theatrical DVD has a short Sean's movie. I am not sure whether the EE has it too.
I'm planning to buy EE DVDs and what I have now are in VCDs.

If you don't have any of the EEs yet, wait for the ROTK one to come out because there might be an entire EE set.

The EE don't seem to have the short...

I have both versions of each movie and the extended editions of each movie have a lot of extra features.
I can't go in depth because I don't have them with me.

I can't wait till RotK EE!!!!
I can't get it,but I have two brothers who love LotR and one of them will buy it

I have the EE!!
and it's sooo great! Don't bother getting the "normal" DVDs....go for it, it's ALWAYS worth it!
Do you know when RotK EE comes out?

Oh and I've seen Sean's movie!!
It was funny :) but only like 10 mins long. And it features ppl i've never seen before. The only one you "know" is the bus driver Peter Jackson.
So yeh...it wasn't all that great to be honest

AWW That's so cool !!
I wish there was a clip of that so I wouldn't have to get the normal DVD.

I don't know. Maybe it's in December.

The theatrical version DVD has less features. For instance.. it only has, like, director commentary. Extended Edition, on the other hand, has set designs, building middle earth, character analysis, the building of CGI characters, those kinds of things. It's a lot more in-depth than the theatrical version. (Atleast in terms of the Two Towers. The ROTK might have more features...)

Yay for the EE version! I hope someone buys it and lets me watch, heh. I think the EE versions of the first two are longer and have more behind-the-scenes stuff. Good times.
