I don't even like Star Trek but I'm looking forward to the new version because of the odd bunch of actors they've cast in it. You and Bana being the oddest.
To answer your first question, yes. Although I find it more wonderful than terrible.
And it IS a wonderful and terrible place to be, but it's part of life, and you can't escape it. Just relax, stop being a silly prat, and you'll be fine.
