Why is it society thinks that people with glasses are intelligent?

I mean yes, I know there are the occasional cases where some folks just have to where them because they're almost legally blind and what not...

But in reality, most people wear glasses because they either A: Spent hours reading in near darkness, B: sat to close too the TV, or C:

.....or we just have bad genes.... I don't think it's any coincidence that all the members of my immediate family, and most of the members of my extended family, wear glasses.... I've had to have mine since I was in 2nd grade after all..

Answer A is my reason for wearing glasses but I'd rather not believe I'm stupid in reality...I may be misguided in some ways...but I hope not stupid...and you're clearly not stupid my dear...

it is those who wear glasses for fashion that are stupid...
