So, do you want to just stumble in on him in his room, and he can freak out but not really do anything about it? Basically, I think the most he'd do is say, "Please don't tell Orochimaru-sama" and that he's going to attack Konoha too, regardless of how sick he is... *shrug*

That would work, and Kidoumaru could agree without much resistance because he's in shock of how bad Kimimaro looks... and then I could post about him later realizing Kimimaro's condition is his fault and feeling guilty about it.
