I figure they see each other somewhat regularly? Probably more so when school is in session, since they both teach weaponry. And I imagine they've probably talked about their lives back home, and such.

I'm sure Veronica's run into Robb on many, many occasions - aside from being on the Council, she can be found in the IPD office regularly to bug Vimes and her dad, and she's taken weaponry classes for a while. She's also friends with Arya, and has a great deal of respect for the Stark family as a whole.

I think you are definitely right! That and they've both been on the island for ages; I agree with Melly that it's hard to say that people who've been here three years wouldn't know each other somehow! <3
