pretty much made the bank reverse the overdrawn fees and fees some stupid collection company was taking out. and they did. it was a pretty tiredless effort though.
I am curious as to whether Fandango is really at fault here. They're a pretty decent company, I mean hell at Starlight we pretty much tell people to go on Fandango and buy tickets, I think the Regal website even uses Fandango. No way Regal would put their money/advertising/relationships into a shady company.
There's been a bunch of class action lawsuits against them because they are partnered with fraudulent companies and because of their own policies. For example, they have this "rewards" program that is a coupon thing when your order tickets. If you don't unclick the box, they will continually charge ten dollars to your account every month no matter if you order any more tickets or not. The box is basically hidden on your order form, and they even have it on emails they send out. If you don't reply to the emails, they automatically sign you up for the program and charge your account. And the option to cancel that program doesn't work on their website so it's almost impossible to cancel it. Its these kinds of shitty but vaguely legal things. I mean, I think the real problem is that pretty much all companies these days are shady, how can you trust any company (especially internet ones) with your information? Blegh, it's disgusting.
That sucks. Yeah. I've never used them before, I just go there and check showtimes and everything. They have cool ads with talking paper bags, they seemed legit.
