this deluge of deer.

See, part of the issue is that increasingly fewer people hunt, since many young people today aren't so much into that. We do have a city bowhunt, but I get the impression that most other deer hunters go up to their cabin or land way out in the country--which isn't all bad, since I wouldn't feel comfortable with a lot of shooting in the narrow strips of woods between the houses here. I don't know why the coyotes aren't doing more to help, b/c they're nowhere near as reclusive as wolves. Perhaps we just need to hope for several hard winters in a row, which is a difficult thing to hope for! Also, we do need marketing folks to make free-range venison burgers the hip new meat, b/c goodness knows we need to be producing less beef.
